The Birchgrove Community Association was formed in February 2008 and has been created to promote the benefits of the residents of Birchgrove and its neighbourhood. This will be achieved by bringing together the residents, local authorities, volunteer groups and other organisations, in a common effort to advance education, improve the environment and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation. The overriding objective is to improve the conditions of life for the residents.

Whether it is boarded up premises, traffic queues, litter, pedestrian facilities, schools, crime, Speeding Problems, the quality of your environment........, Birchgrove Community Association can offer you a voice.

We are pleased to report that "SELECT BUS AND COACH SERVICES" will be running a new service 143 between Neath and Birchgrove from Monday 12 December. See timetable here. This will take over from the 208 bus service which ended on 19 November. The 143 will follow exactly the same route as the 208 from Heol Dulais along Birchgrove Road  and past the Bowens to
Neath. The new service is not subsidised and will only survive if  passengers use it regularly.
